Lukashenko: The Belarusian army is mobile, compact, and well-equipped

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – The modern Belarusian army is mobile, compact, and well-equipped. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a solemn assembly held on 22 February ahead of Fatherland Defenders Day, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “Today the modern Belarusian army is mobile, compact, and equipped with cutting-edge weapons and materiel. The military personnel are busy improving their combat skills, mastering new methods of repulsing threats, including in association with other power-wielding agencies.”

The head of state noted that a territorial defense system is being persistently built in Belarus to guarantee the nationwide protection of the fatherland. The national defense industry grows fast. It unites the most technologically sophisticated enterprises, including missile production ones. Modern means of communication and automation are being created in addition to unmanned aviation, small arms and ammunition, other products of the Belarusian defense industry.
