MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed the law "On the National Budget for 2026”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The budget ensures the fulfillment of all the state's social obligations and maintains the stability of public finances.

The national budget for 2026 has been approved with revenues of Br54.4 billion and expenditures of Br58.7 billion. Compared to the current year, revenues will grow by 12.4% and expenditures by 10.4%. The main growth in revenues will be driven by VAT, personal income tax, corporate profit tax, and receipts from foreign economic activities. The tax burden for the vast majority of payers remains unchanged.

The budget will retain social focus. Healthcare, education, social support, culture, and sports remain priorities. Funding for these sectors ensures the accessibility and quality of services for citizens.

The budget also provides for increased funding in other priority areas: science, agricultural industry and export support.

The deficit of the national budget has been set at Br4.3 billion, at less than 1.5% of GDP.
