MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of Switzerland as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Like Switzerland, Belarus places great importance on strengthening independence and social justice. Our peoples are committed to resolving even the most complex issues through dialogue and compromise, ensuring peaceful coexistence among different languages, cultures, and faiths,” the message of greetings reads.

The strong foundation laid in previous years provides Belarus and Switzerland with excellent potential to expand bilateral ties across various sectors, based on principles of equality and mutual respect, Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

“Belarus is always happy to welcome Swiss citizens, who can visit our country visa-free at any time and see for themselves that the country is both comfortable and safe,” the president emphasized.

The head of state wished the people of Switzerland happiness, unity, and prosperity.
