MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of the Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard as the country celebrates Swiss National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am convinced that the relations of friendship and trust between the Republic of Belarus and the Swiss Confederation are a reliable foundation of mutually beneficial cooperation in the long term,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope for the further expansion of Belarus-Switzerland ties in the best interests of the two nations.
