Lukashenko sends national day greetings to France

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of France as the country celebrates the national holiday – Bastille Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that Belarus recognizes the desire of millions of French people for peace and treats with great respect the citizens of this country who stay true to their spiritual roots and the principles of justice and equality protected by their ancestors.

“The centuries-old historical ties between our countries cannot be erased by the decisions of Brussels bureaucrats,” the message reads. “Such deep values as the right to one’s own identity and independence, commitment to friendship, security, and productive work on one’s own land, unite our peoples and serve as a reliable foundation for resuming Belarusian-French cooperation in all areas.”

The president assured that Belarus highly values everyone who comes with an open heart and is interested in maintaining humanitarian and economic contacts. “I am convinced that amid global instability and a deep crisis of trust, the ability to listen, respect other cultures, and the rejection of all forms of fascism, inherent in both nations, is the only way to peace in Europe and throughout the world,” he emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of France wisdom, unity, prosperity, and success in fruitful endeavors for the benefit of the country.
