MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Togolese President Jean-Lucien Kwassi Lanyo Savi de Tove and President of the Council of Ministers of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe on the country’s holiday – Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The head of state underscored: “Belarus highly appreciates the level of bilateral relations with Togo and reaffirms its readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas. I am convinced that stepping up political dialogue between Minsk and Lomé, expanding trade and economic ties, and implementing humanitarian projects serve the interests of both nations.”

In his congratulatory message, Aleksandr Lukashenko reaffirmed Belarus’ interest in developing cooperation in agriculture, industrial cooperation, fertilizer production and other areas. “I am confident that greater bilateral interaction, including to ensure Togo’s food security, will contribute to strengthening the good ties between our peoples. I invite you to visit Belarus at a convenient time to get to know about its potential and to identify joint projects for future implementation together,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

The head of state wished the leaders of the Togolese Republic good health, happiness, success in implementing all their plans and initiatives, and peace, harmony and further progress to the friendly people of Togo.
