MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon as the country celebrates the 35th anniversary of its Independence, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The Tajik people have approached this significant milestone with substantial results: the country’s sovereignty and international standing are strengthening, the economy is growing, and conditions for the life and creative labor of the population are improving,” the message reads. “Your political foresight and careful preservation of historical and cultural heritage have become the key to the state’s dynamic development.”

“I highly value our friendship and trust, which invariably serve as a mainstay for comprehensive Belarus-Tajikistan cooperation, as well as the foundation of a solid strategic partnership that fully meets the interests of Minsk and Dushanbe,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Emomali Rahmon health and happiness, and peace and prosperity to the people of Tajikistan.
