Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Tajikistan

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Over the years of sovereignty thanks to your wise and balanced policy Tajikistan managed to ensure peace and accord in the society, build a modern, future-oriented state holding a decent place on the global arena,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state mentioned the invaluable contribution of the Tajikistani president to the strengthening of friendship between the two countries. It relies on the similarity of goals and interests, on special, cousinly warm relations between our people, the Belarusian leader stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Emomali Rahmon strong health and every success. He also wished Tajikistani people stability, prosperity and well-being.
