MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“For each country, sovereignty is the main symbol of a free and peaceful life, internal stability, the foundation for prosperity and fruitful development in all sectors. Belarus appreciates the successes and progress achieved by the Pakistani people during the independence period,” the message of greetings says.

The head of state took note of the dynamic expansion of relations between Belarus and Pakistan and expressed confidence that mutual respect and trust would continue to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral political, business and humanitarian contacts.
