Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Indonesia

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on national holiday – Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

“I warmly recall our recent meeting in Minsk. I reaffirm the aspiration to expand relations with your country across various sectors, both in bilateral format and on multilateral platforms,” the congratulatory message reads.

The head of state noted that the geographical distance between the two countries has not hindered the development of consistent cooperation.

“I am confident that the alignment of Belarus’ and Indonesia’s approaches to global issues presents an opportunity to significantly diversify trade and economic ties, as well as to intensify contacts at all levels,” emphasized the Belarusian leader.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Prabowo Subianto excellent health and boundless creative energy, and the friendly Indonesian people – peace and progress.
