Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Chad

MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to President of the Republic of Chad Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA has learned.

“Gaining sovereignty in 1960 allowed the people of Chad to independently determine the destiny of their country,” the head of state noted. “I take this festive opportunity to reaffirm Minsk’s interest in intensifying relations with N’Djamena. I fully support your desire to see them more diversified. The supply of transport and medicine, as well as projects in agriculture, infrastructure development, and personnel training, are of mutual interest. The machinery, experience, and knowledge of specialists from Belarus will help guarantee your state’s food security and strengthen its independence.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished his Chadian counterpart excellent health and success in achieving all his goals in the high office, while wishing peace and prosperity to the people of Chad.
