Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of Belarusian ecological forum

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the 15th Belarusian ecological forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Protecting the nature of the native land, developing the strategy of a rational and frugal use of its resources, you take care of future generations, heath and wellbeing of our children and grandchildren,” the head of state remarked.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that world leaders, public associations, manufacturers and consumers of the blessings of civilization, all people living on Earth are equally responsible for the ecological security on the planet. “Caring attitude to the environment should be a way of thinking and a living standard for every one of us. It should be a priority for every state policy,” the president is convinced.

He also expressed confidence that, having dedicated this year’s forum to sustainable urban development, the participants of the event will find balance between economic benefits and protection of the environment, biological diversity and ecological cleanness in Belarus.
