Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalyonok
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to pilot-cosmonaut two-time Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Kovalyonok, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“We are proud of the fact that the son of the Belarusian land has become one of the pioneers in space exploration and a symbol of courage for many generations of people in medicine, material engineering, studying of the Earth atmosphere and the world ocean,” the head of state remarked.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that Vladimir Kovalyonok will continue doing his best to enhance friendship between the brotherly nations of Belarus and Russia, promote the productive cooperation in science and technology.
