MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Belarus President, President of the National Olympic Committee Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to Olympic champion Yelena Belova, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“All your life is connected with elite sport. Being a four-time Olympic champion and many-time world and USSR fencing champion, you have made a big contribution to glorifying our Homeland on the international arena, training excellent athletes,” the felicitation message reads.

The head of state remarked that the name of the athlete is inscribed in the history book of world and Belarusian sport with golden letters. “We are especially grateful to you for sharing your experience and knowledge with the young generation throughout your professional career,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
