Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Nazarbayev

MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on his birthday, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Dear friend, please accept my most sincere congratulations on your birthday. Thanks to your direct involvement, the Republic of Kazakhstan has passed through crisis periods with dignity, gaining a strong place and authority in the modern world. You have made a lot of efforts to shape the image of Kazakhstan in the international arena. In many ways, it is your merit that Kazakhstan has preserved its industrial potential with a market economy, strong foundations of civil society, ethnic and religious harmony," the message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Nursultan Nazarbayev, striving to preserve economic ties in the post-Soviet space, laid out the outlines of the economic dimension of the Eurasian Economic Union, stood at the origins of such a multilateral association as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

"I highly appreciate our warm, friendly relations and value our conversations. I wish you good health and good spirits, mutual understanding and support of the family and friends," the head of state emphasized.
