Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Catholicos Karekin II

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent birthday greetings to Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on 21 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Your tireless service aimed at promoting Christian values in modern society, patriotic and spiritual and moral upbringing of the younger generation, the triumph of mercy and justice is highly appreciated in Belarus,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state expressed confidence that ascetic efforts of Karekin II would continue to promote peace, preserve the atmosphere of trust and friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Armenia.
