MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko sees great prospects for the development of the investment cooperation between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates. The head of state made a relevant statement as he received credentials from UAE Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Mangoush Al Tenaiji on 6 June, BelTA has learned.

“We should make more effort to develop the economic aspect of our bilateral cooperation, especially given that we have great prospects for investment cooperation,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the United Arab Emirates is a long-standing and major Belarus’ partner in the Arab world. The head of state voiced satisfaction over the positive development of the political contacts between the two countries and expressed hope that they will be further intensified.

On 6 June, Alexander Lukashenko also received credentials from Nicaraguan Ambassador Juan Ernesto Vasquez Araya and emphasized that Belarus views this country as a reliable political and economic partner in Central America. “We have enough potential to strengthen our cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, culture, and education,” the Belarusian leader pointed out.
