MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) – Blackmailing, threats, sanctions and bombings do nto solve problems, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at a solemn meeting on the occasion of Belarus’ Independence Day on 1 July, BelTA has learned.
“We intend to continue supporting any initiatives aimed at establishing sustainable peace and close cooperation between the East and the West, the North and the South. Our country has proved that it can be a good partner in addressing any thorny issue of the modern days,” the Belarusian leader said.
“We are convinced that blackmailing, threats, sanctions and bombings do not solve problems. The only aggravate them. Unfortunately, not everyone understands it. This is why we have to reinforce our borders in order to protect the country from anyone wanting to test us. The Belarusian army is well-trained and is equipped with advanced weapons,” the head of state stressed.
