Lukashenko reflects on Trump's negotiating manner

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave his take on the negotiating manner of U.S. President Donald Trump as he spoke in an interview with the Russian magazine Razvedchik, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko, answering questions, mentioned his telephone conversation with the U.S. president, noting that it was a frank, good conversation. “We also spoke about Ukraine. I presented Trump with my vision, my point of view. He listened to it. Well, how useful our conversation was before the meeting in Alaska is for him to know better,” the head of state said.

“I will say directly: Trump speaks harshly, without diplomatic husk. You can disagree with him, argue, but you understand his position. That is more valuable than dozens of European declarations, where every word is wrapped in beautiful diplomatic packaging, but at the same time means nothing,” the Belarusian president emphasized.
