Lukashenko orders to maximize sales of farm machines to agricultural companies

KLICHEV DISTRICT, 24 May (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed industrial enterprises to sell as many farm machines as possible. The head of state made this statement as he visited Klichev District of Mogilev Oblast, BelTA has learnt.

“These machines are available now. Yesterday I told the Premier to make sure the machinery that will not be exported today should be sent to collective farms. Not for free. Maybe, in installments. If someone wants to buy it right away, we will give a good discount up to 25%, or maybe even 30%. Governors will decide what machines and how many of them they need,” the President said.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that machines should not remain in storages when field works are in full swing. “Machines – MAZ vehicles, MTZ tractors, Gomselmash and Bobruiskselmash machines - should be immediately dispatched to agricultural companies; payment settlements should also be discussed. The most urgent task now is to provide farming enterprises with these machines so that the machines will not stay idle,” the Belarusian leader said.

The head of state gave a separate instruction on the provision of nitrogen fertilizers. “Buy all the necessary nitrogen fertilizers from domestic producers; export should be suspended if needed; I totally reject the idea of spending foreign currency on purchasing nitrogen fertilizers abroad,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The President demanded that all the regions of the country should be equally provided with Grodno Azot products. “Several governors complained that Grodno Azot firstly provides Grodno Oblast with nitrogen fertilizers abundantly, only after that it supplies them to the other regions. I ordered to look into the situation. If it is true, it won’t be a picnic. All regions are equal,” Alexander Lukashenko said. In this connection Mogilev Oblast Governor Piotr Rudnik informed that all the agricultural companies of the region are provided with a sufficient amount of nitrogen fertilizers.

The head of state visited the collective farm Dobrovolets that specializes in production of grain, potatoes, milk and meat. The President was informed about the state of progress to finish the spring sowing works in Mogilev Oblast and Belarus in general. Almost all spring crops have already been planted. Most of other crops have been planted, too.

Alexander Lukashenko was shown a precise farming system employed by Dobrovolets. This system uses the satellite and IT technologies to help optimize and improve soil fertility and plant nutrition due to differentiated planting. This allows saving up to 25% of fertilizers, enhancing efficiency of fertilizers by up to 44%, and increasing the crop yield by 8-9%.

This year the Dobrovolets company has started mastering satellite monitoring of farm machines. By now 25 vehicles have been equipped with satellite monitoring devices. The system allows keeping track of a truck (tractor) during the entire day. The system was demonstrated in action. The company said that the use of this system allows saving a great amount of resources.
