Lukashenko meets with Kochanova

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a working meeting with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on 18 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The parties discussed lawmaking and other activity of the Council of the Republic.

Natalya Kochanova reported on the work of the Expert Council under the Council of the Republic. In her words, a wide range of specialists are involved in the consideration of normative acts, all documents are thoroughly examined and analyzed.

The parties discussed the work of the Council of the Republic with the population. This work comprises meetings in individuals, labor collectives. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Natalya Kochanova also reviewed the results of the work of the public reception room at the Council of the Republic, which collected proposals and comments on the draft Constitution from citizens.
