MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Legislation should be reviewed on a permanent basis, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the Belarusian people and Parliament in Minsk on 18 December, BelTA has learned.
“I tasked officials with conducting a review of bylaws and, indeed, legislation as a whole. Extensive work has been carried out, but it should not be a one-time action. The revision of legislation should be conducted on a permanent basis,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The president addressed the leaders of parliament. “You have set up numerous groups, commissions, and expert councils. You are constantly meeting and discussing something. That is probably the right way. But often, after such consultations, you repeatedly approach the president with initiatives to clarify a point, a paragraph, an article, and so on. This is why I am talking about systematizing legislation,” the head of state emphasized.
