MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed condolences to Germany President Joachim Gauck, families and friends of the victims of the tragedy in Berlin, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus shares the pain and sorrow the families of the victims.
We are shocked by the tragedy in Berlin which claimed the lives of innocent people. It is especially painful that this tragedy happened in the run-up to Christmas and New Year, the message of condolences reads.
It was reported earlier that on 19 December a truck ploughed into a Christmas market in Berlin. The truck killed 12 people and injured about 50.
