Lukashenko congratulates internal military forces on professional holiday

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the soldiers, employees and veterans of the internal military forces as they celebrate their professional holiday – Day of Internal Military Forces, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Every day you are doing your best to ensure law and order, peaceful labor and comfort of our citizens, to address unprecedentedly specific and difficult service and military tasks,” the message of greetings reads.

The president remarked that the important role of the internal military forces in the maintenance of public order became especially prominent last year when soldiers managed to display their professional excellence, perseverance and mutual support during mass unsanctioned rallies.

“I am convinced that as true patriots committed to your duty and oath you will do your best to protect the constitutional order, the country and people from any illegal incidents,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
