MOSCOW, 26 February (BelTA) – Other countries show interest in Belarusian-Russian experience of interregional cooperation. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement at a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Moscow on 26 February, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “Our events within the framework of the regions are very important. Today the Chinese have already suggested: ‘Let’s work according to the principle of your work with Russia – a region with regions.’ Iran mentioned about half a year ago that they want this kind of cooperation as well.”
“People on the ground can see better what people need. This is why the fact that we gave a nudge to this process at some point and parliamentarians take care of it, particularly senators, I am very grateful to them for it. And I hope very much that the Russian government will be dedicated to our Union State construction and we will fulfill all the instructions, our arrangements and decisions that we make at joint events,” the head of state noted.
