ASHGABAT, 11 October (BelTA) – We need to handle frozen conflicts in the post-Soviet space together, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as spoke at the CIS summit in Ashgabat on 11 October, BelTA has learned.
“We were as one, fought shoulder to shoulder in the past. And take a look what is going on in the post-Soviet space today. We have so many such conflicts. Why aren’t we addressing these issues? If we are capable of anything, then we need to solve these problems, settle these frozen conflicts, in a fair way," the Belarusian leader said.
“We should not create situations and then call people from across the ocean to help us deal with these problems! Let us do ourselves and let us not create new ones!” the head of state added.
