MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - Political dialogue between Belarus and Turkey is based on friendship and understanding, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during the talks with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, BelTA has learned.

“I am pleased to note that the political dialogue between our countries is based on friendship and understanding. We have no problematic issues,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

Alexander Lukashenko underlined that the first visit of the Turkish President to Belarus is historically significant for the both countries. “Today, when meeting on-on-one we already discussed the issues on the bilateral agenda, addressed the urgent global and regional problems,” he noted.

According to the Belarusian head of state, the parties have a mutual interest in the dynamic development of intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary relations, improvement of the existing mechanisms and establishment of new ones in order to facilitate economic, scientific and cultural cooperation.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the visit and his attention to the development of cooperation with Belarus.
