Lukashenko: Belarus ready to assist Syria with post-war reconstruction

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian people as the country celebrated its national holiday – Evacuation Day – on 17 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian president.

“The people of the Republic of Belarus firmly believe that our brotherly Syrian nation will soon cope with the aftermath of the foreign intervention and will proceed to reconstruction and development,” the head of state noted.

“We are ready to lend a hand and provide assistance in this process,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The Belarusian president wished strong health and success in all endeavors to Bashar al-Assad and peace and concord to the friendly Syrian nation.
