Lukashenko: Belarus, Japan can advance relations to a new level

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am very glad that there has been positive dynamics in the Belarusian-Japanese relations in all major avenues: the political dialogue is expanding, the countries implement a number joint trade, economic, and humanitarian projects, the partnership on the international arena is increasingly vibrant,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state expressed confidence that by joining efforts to enhance bilateral official, business, tourism, and cultural ties Belarus and Japan will be able to utilize the existing potential of interaction in full and advance relations to a new level for the benefit of their nations.
