Lukashenko: Belarus-Azerbaijan relations are based on utmost trust

MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s national holiday- Republic Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“I am sincerely happy about Azerbaijan’s success on the path of dramatic transformation of all aspects of public life. The country’s impressive achievements in economy, social security and other areas were acknowledged worldwide and helped raise the international standing of your country,” the message reads.

The president welcomed the high level of trust and mutual understanding that underpin Belarus-Azerbaijan relations that develop in the spirit of partnership and friendship.

“I am confident that your substantial contribution to strengthening fruitful long-term ties between Belarus and Azerbaijan will help make the most of the potential of the bilateral cooperation to the benefit of people of our countries,” the head of state emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Ilham Aliyev good health, energy and many successes and achievements. He also wished people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity.
