Lukashenko appoints ambassadors to African, Asian countries

MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed ambassadors to five countries in Africa and Asia on concurrent accreditation, BelTA has learned.

Igor Marshalov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Zambia.

Mikhail Kasko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Roman Romanovsky was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The head of state approved the appointment of Viktor Podskrebkin as Head of the Department of Economy and Sectoral Programs of the Standing Committee of the Belarus-Russia Union State.
