Lukashenko appoints aides to Belarus president in Minsk Oblast, Vitebsk Oblast

Lukashenko appoints aides to Belarus president in Minsk Oblast, Vitebsk OblastMINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – Igor Yevseyev has been appointed aide to the Belarusian president, inspector for Minsk Oblast. Alexander Subbotin has been appointed aide to the Belarusian president, inspector for Vitebsk Oblast. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made corresponding appointments on 28 September, BelTA informs.

Igor Yevseyev previously worked as head of the Interior Affairs Department at the Minsk City Hall. The head of state remarked that the appointment of a policeman as an aide to the president is an experiment. “I think there will be no mistake. We’ll see what a general will do in this civil work. Although it is hard to call this a civil post because sometimes the job is more important and military-like than the jobs of certain soldiers,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

Alexander Subbotin held the position of deputy agriculture and food minister, director of the Veterinary and Food Control Department. “You know a lot about agriculture. Besides, you are a scientist. You will work hard. First of all it will be essential to cut the Gordian knot in the structure of sowing. We have not harvested a few thousands of hectares of grain yet. You know what kind of grain we will have in October. We need efficient farming techniques,” the president said.

He instructed to determine the priorities of their work. “You should do something to distinguish their functions, to draw a line between inspectors for personnel issues representing the president and governors who are in the lead of those regions,” Alexander Lukashenko said. “I think that presidential aides have developed their own styles of work over the years, and they should have their own areas of focus. You should pay attention to this issue,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
