Lukashenko about opposition staff: There are not enough high-ranking jobs in the country for you

Lukashenko about opposition staff: There are not enough high-ranking jobs in the country for you

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – It is illegal to create alternative government bodies in order to seize power in the country. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement at a session of the Security Council on 19 August, BelTA has learned. Heads of regional administrations took part in the session thanks to the videoconference technology.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I’ve already said that the so-called black hundred has been created to take over the power. The so-called opposition staff. It is surprising that they are already queuing up and are distributing high-ranking jobs. Dear black hundred! The country does not have enough briefcases [that go with high-ranking government jobs] for all the people in the queue. But we can give you enough brooms and spades.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed: “I would like to once again remind you that the establishment of alternative government bodies, parallel bodies, and other kinds, the establishment of ‘hundreds’ for the sake of seizing power is prosecutable.”
