MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – The first Belarus-China Forum of Regions will take place in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province on 1 July, BelTA learned from the organizers.
The organizers of this large-scale event are the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee on the Belarusian side, and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries together with the Gansu Provincial People's Government on the Chinese side.
The theme of the forum is “Uniting the Strength of Regions for Joint Development and Prosperity”. Ahead of the forum, on 30 June, business meetings and events have already begun. The forum has brought together more than 270 participants from 23 regions of the People’s Republic of China, as well as representatives of all Belarusian regions and the city of Minsk.
Around 40 bilateral documents in investment, trade, interregional cooperation, scientific and technical partnership, and humanitarian cooperation are expected to be signed during the forum.
