Kochanova: We highly value Ebrahim Raisi’s contribution to Belarus-Iran relations

MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – On behalf of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Chair of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova expressed condolences to Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf over the death of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of parliament.

“This tragic event shocked the whole world and deeply saddened Iran’s friends,” noted Natalya Kochanova. “President Ebrahim Raisi will remain in our hearts forever as a friend of Belarus, a wise leader, a prominent political and spiritual figure and a statesman who devoted his whole life to serving Iranian people, strengthening the Islamic Republic of Iran. I am convinced that this renowned, principled politician and a true patriot will always be remembered by millions of Iranian citizens.”

“We highly appreciate the personal contribution of Ebrahim Raisi to the development of Belarus-Iran cooperation,” the speaker emphasized.
