MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) - Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova met with Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova on 18 February, BelTA has learned.

"It is primarily the merit of our leaders, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev. They have established good relations, which aim first of all to benefit our countries and our peoples. Aleksandr Grigorievich always treats Ilham Aliyev as a friend. When the Belarusian head of state visited your beautiful country, he stated that no topics were off-limits for us: we were open to communication and solving problems for the benefit of our peoples. I would like to take the opportunity and convey greetings from all the Belarusian people and your colleagues," Natalya Kochanova said.

The parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus led by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on an official visit. The program of the visit includes a meeting between Natalya Kochanova and Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, a session of the Executive Council of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, and a number of bilateral meetings.
