MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova had a meeting with Syrian Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam in Minsk on 2 April, BelTA informs.

Mansour Azzam has been to Minsk before. In 2010, he accompanied Syria President Bashar al-Assad who was in Belarus on an official visit.

“I believe that you will learn more about Belarus, its culture and history during this visit. I think that you would like to learn the way the power vertical in our country is working,” Natalya Kochanova said.

Belarus-Syria relations have gained momentum since 2015, she stated. The two countries have a great potential to boost bilateral cooperation and bring it to another level.

Mansour Azzam is in Belarus on a working visit from 1 to 5 April. He is expected to have several official meetings, visit Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), sports facilities, cultural and historic sites.
