Iranian Deputy FM reaffirms commitment to implementing agreements with Belarus

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik held talks with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari on the sidelines of the meeting of the SCO Foreign Ministers Council in Astana, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Iranian diplomat expressed words of gratitude to the president of the Republic of Belarus and all Belarusian people for their support and sympathy in connection with the tragic death of the president of Iran and those accompanying him.

Mahdi Safari confirmed the unwavering commitment of Tehran to all agreements reached during the visit of the president of Belarus to Iran in 2023. The parties agreed to continue active interaction in all bilateral and multilateral formats.
