Interior ministers of Belarus, Serbia discuss cooperation prospects

MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Interior Minister Igor Shunevich and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic have met to discuss prospects for cooperation between the Interior Ministries of Belarus and Serbia, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Interior Ministry.

The first in the history of the bilateral relations visit of the Belarusian interior minister to Serbia took place from 11 to 13 May. It was organized with the support of the Belarusian Embassy. Igor Shunevich and Nebojsa Stefanovic discussed the state and prospects of the development of the cooperation in law enforcement, and exchanged opinions on major areas of further interaction, including mutual exchange of visits and strengthening of professional ties. The meeting was also attended by Belarusian Ambassador to Serbia Vladimir Chushev.

Igor Shunevich visited agencies and educational institutions of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia. He was informed about the law enforcement activities of the Serbian police.
