MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Guminsky will lead the observation mission from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) at the presidential election in Kazakhstan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Ergali Bulegenov on 16 April, BelTA has learned.
The MPs of the two countries take part in the observation of the election on a mutual basis. “We delegate Viktor Guminsky as part of the CIS IPA observation mission to coordinate the activity of the monitoring group,” the speaker said.
Monitoring the presidential election in Kazakhstan will also be representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Belarus: Chairperson Lidia Yermoshina and CEC member Svetlana Katsubo.
Kazakhstan’s early presidential election is scheduled for 26 April 2015. Three officially registered candidates are contested the election. These include incumbent President, leader of Nur Otan party Nursultan Nazarbayev, member of the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan Turgun Syzdykov and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan Abilgazi Kusainov.
