Golovchenko, Krutoi elected delegates to Belarusian People's Congress

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - Delegates to the Belarusian People's Congress from the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB), which is a civil society entity, to replace those who stepped down were elected during the FTUB 11^th Extraordinary Congress in Minsk on 12 December, BelTA has learned.

The delegates elected from the FTUB are Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Roman Golovchenko and Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi.

In accordance with the law, 80 delegates to the Belarusian People's Congress were elected at the 9^th Extraordinary Congress of the FTUB in April 2024. Following the first session of the 7^th Belarusian People's Congress, the mandates of two delegates were terminated early on the grounds stipulated in Article 39 of the Law on the Belarusian People's Congress. One delegate was from Mogilev Oblast and one from the city of Minsk.

“Roman Golovchenko was nominated as a delegate by the Minsk City Association of Trade Unions, and Dmitry Krutoi was nominated by the Mogilev Regional Association of Trade Unions. They are members of the Belarusian Trade Union of Public Sector and Other Employees,” FRUB Chairman Yuri Senko said. “We all know these delegates well, their career paths and their current participation in the life of our country and in the trade union movement. And together, as delegates to the Belarusian People's Congress, we will work to address the tasks that will be set at the upcoming Belarusian People's Congress.”
