Ghana seeks cooperation in education with Belarus’ Emergencies Ministry

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – The University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus played host to a meeting between Deputy Emergencies Minister Andrei Yurzhits and Chief Executive Officer of Osprey International Limited – Member of the Board of the Defense Industries Holding Company under the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Ghana Samuel Kwasi Anomah on 4 November, BelTA has learned.

“The parties discussed cooperation in training specialists from Ghana at the educational institutions of the Emergencies Ministry and also supplies of rescue equipment, personal protective equipment, and fire-entry suits of the Belarusian manufacture. African guests were shown the latest technology of the University of Civil Protection and the Belarusian best practices in training specialists for the system of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry,” the press service said.

The delegation from Ghana has visited Minsk Automobile Plant. The program also includes a visit to Pozhsnab Company, talks on the delivery of Belarusian rescue equipment, and a visit to the branch of the Institute of Retraining and Enhancement of Qualifications under the University of Civil Protection.
