MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) - Andreas Peschke, the Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the German Foreign Minsitry, will visit Minsk on 6 October, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told media on 1 October, BelTA has learned.
During the visit Andreas Peschke is set to meet with Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna to discuss topical issues of the Belarusian-German cooperation, the interaction of Belarus with the EU and regional security.
In 2014 the Belarusian-German trade totaled $4.1 billion, down 14% from the previous year. In January-July 2015 the mutual trade made up $1.4 billion, down 42.5% as against the same period a year earlier.
