MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Gambia (on concurrent) Vyacheslav Beskosty presented his credentials to President Yahya Jammeh of Gambia in the capital city of Banjul on 4 November, BelTA has learnt from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The President of Gambia welcomed Belarus’ first ambassador to Gambia and expressed eagerness to strengthen bilateral economic and political ties between the two countries. Yahya Jammeh emphasized that Gambia is interested in Belarusian technologies and vehicles, including farm machines, trucks, buses, and road-building machinery.
Vyacheslav Beskosty noted that Belarus and Gambia have significant potential for the development of bilateral cooperation in different fields.
On 4 November the Belarusian Ambassador also met with Foreign Minister Aboubacar Senghore of Gambia. The sides discussed the ways of intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries paying attention to the necessity to develop the legal framework of relations.
