Foreign ministers of Belarus, Oman hold phone talks

MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov held a telephone conversation with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi on 16 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to Belarusian-Omani cooperation, as well as the international and regional agenda. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to the Sultanate of Oman,” the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The ministers praise positive trends in the development of political dialogue and the growing interest in expanding economic contacts, and confirmed their readiness to implement joint projects in areas of mutual interest, in particular in logistics, agriculture, and high technology.

The diplomats also confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation in international organizations, primarily the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.
