Expansion of Belarus-Italy trade, economic relations discussed

MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Deputy Minister — Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vincenzo Amendola in Minsk on 23 June to discuss the expansion of trade and economic ties between the two countries, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including opportunities for expanding trade and economic relations as well as investment partnership, cooperation within the framework of international organizations. Vladimir Makei and Vincenzo Amendola also discussed topical items on the regional and international agendas.

Vincenzo Amendola is in Belarus for the sake of taking part in high-level Central European Initiative events and in consultations on political and consular affairs between the Belarusian and Italian ministries of foreign affairs.

BelTA reported earlier that on 22 June Vladimir Makei met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto and Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajcak.
