MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Guryanov met with Ambassador of Afghanistan to Ukraine with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Mohammad Akbar Mohammadi on 18 May to discuss the expansion of the legal base of cooperation, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the meeting the diplomats also talked over prospects of advancing Belarusian-Afghan economic cooperation, the organization of and actual joint events in 2015, the organization of visits of representatives of the business communities of Belarus and Afghanistan, and the implementation of joint projects.

BelTA has been told that on 18 May Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus, Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti. The sides discussed topical aspects of bilateral relations and a number of items on the international agenda and the regional one.
