MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) - The EU delegation will visit Belarus on 24 February, spokesman for the Belarusian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told reporters, BelTA has learned.
The delegation will be led by Ms Katarina Mathernova, Deputy Director-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, and Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Mr Laszlo Baranyay. The delegation will include representatives of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, EIB Permanent Representation in Moscow and the EU Delegation in Belarus.
The delegation is set to meet with representatives of the National Bank, the Economy Minsitry, Finance Minsitry, Taxes and Duties Ministry and also the President Administration. “It is planned to review the status of and prospects for economic and financial cooperation between Belarus and the EU, and consider the opportunities for greater interaction between Belarus and European and international financial institutions,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
