Estonia’s minister of foreign affairs to visit Belarus on 14 June

TALLINN, 28 May (BelTA) - Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser will visit Belarus on 14 June, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Estonia Anatoly Stepus said as he met with Belarusian journalists in the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership.

The diplomat stressed the importance of the upcoming visit to Minsk, during which the parties will talk over a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. The focus will be on the ways of expanding economic interaction.

The parties will discuss, among other things, the preparation of the visit of the Estonia prime minister to Minsk, which will, presumably, take place in the autumn. The date shall be agreed upon during Sven Mikser’s talks in the Belarusian capital.

Belarus and Estonia attach great importance to the forthcoming visits which are designed to give a new impetus to the Belarusian-Estonian cooperation.

The Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership is a training and research center focusing on the six countries of the EU’s Eastern Partnership (EaP). Through its activities ECEAP aims to develop relations with the EaP countries while contributing to the advancement of the overall goals of the EU’s policy in the region.
