MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – The large-scale swap of prisoners between countries is a result of the negotiations that started a long time ago, RT quoted Natalya Eismont, Press Secretary of the Belarus president, as saying.
Natalya Eismont noted: “The key thing is that these negotiations never proceed in public. They require quiet. The absence of public coverage is the basis of such talks. This is why certain agreements were in place and we stick to these agreements.”
Prisoners from Russia, the USA, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, and Belarus were swapped in Ankara.
